Have you ever heard of upcycled jewelry or recycled jewelry? Both terms are sometimes used interchangeably but they are two different things.
Upcycled jewelry is made from materials that aren't broken down. In other words, you are making jewelry from items that you already have around your house. An example is using an old pair of jeans to make a denim cuff bracelet.
Recycled jewelry is made from materials that are considered waste but are processed for reuse. Materials can include scraps of plastic, wood, paper, glass and more. Examples of recycled jewelry are paper brass and recycled glass beads.
